West Tennessee Legal Services Appoints Deputy Director to New Memphis Location

Jackson, Tenn. [June 24, 2024] – West Tennessee Legal Services (WTLS) has promoted Vanessa Bullock to the role of Deputy Director and Memphis Office Manager. Bullock brings over a decade of legal expertise and leadership to this role, most recently serving as the Fair Housing Director and Managing Attorney. 

As a committed advocate for fair housing rights, Bullock has lectured throughout Tennessee and represented individuals in housing discrimination cases, including those related to public housing and disability status. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Mississippi, and is licensed to practice law in both Tennessee and Mississippi. 

“I am deeply honored to accept the role of Deputy Director and Memphis Office Manager at this exciting time for West Tennessee Legal Services,” Bullock said. “As we expand into new areas, I am committed to upholding our mission of providing justice and support to low-income, marginalized, and vulnerable residents in our communities.”

Her new role becomes effective July 1, 2024, when WTLS begins serving Shelby, Lauderdale, Tipton, and Fayette counties with funding from the Legal Services Corporation.
